“I have too much work to do” is a line most designers would love to hear.  My apologies for not making a post sooner, but I literally have had too much work to do.  Interested to see what I’ve been working on?

My job at Prime Ventures Commercial Real Estate has been going extremely well. There is a nonstop flow of work dealing with all forms of print media including business cards, property packs, flyers, agent one-sheets, presentation folders etc. Here is a sample of the presentation folders we had printed.

Aside from handling all print media, I’ve recently taken over control of our website, Primeventuresrgv.com. My goal is to maintain a solid theme throughout our print media and our online presence. So far so good. We recently took some company photos as well. I’m not much of a suit kind of guy, but I could get used to it.

One thing I’m hoping to add to generate more traffic to our site and increase search engine optimization is a real estate blog. From there we can post articles about the commercial real estate market or even buyer/investor tips.

The room for growth and potential for opportunity with Prime Ventures is very exciting. I’m hoping that my graphic design can help generate overall company improvement.

As I’ve always said, networking is key in the graphic design world.

Viva Life Christian Book Shop was in need of a Christmas catalog for their holiday season. Hoping to save on their budget by having a local designer handle it, they offered me the job through my supervisor at Prime Ventures. I willing accepted. As of today, they have printed 40,000 copies, many for in-store purposes, many for direct mailouts, and the majority going out in our local newspaper, The Monitor. This is my biggest quantity print job ever.

Catalog publications are a long and tedious process that requires careful attention to detail and constant revision. Having had some experience in the area, I knew what was to be expected. We made the deadline comfortably and the catalog is in full circulation. Overall it was a great experience and I was lucky to be working with such great people.

I appreciate you following me this far. As you can see, I’ve been busy enough to honestly say I haven’t had time to make a post. Moving on.

Work at The TLC Gallery has become quite interesting in the last couple of weeks. With the Holiday Season in full swing, I wanted to update the gallery’s website to bring their online presence up to speed with how I think things could look.

So for the last 3 weeks, I’ve been working on their website redesign.

Since their merchandise changes dramatically with the seasons, I wanted their website to reflect that. I included a subtle snowfall to get viewers in the Christmas/Winter spirit. In the Fall I hope to do falling leaves, sun rays perhaps for the Summer, and possibly a single green plant for Spring. Feel free to browse around on there to see some of the details. A few updates are needed as you might find, but I wanted to show you to possibly get some feedback as it’s always welcome.

I’ll stop here. I actually have a thing or two that I have yet to discuss. But we’ll leave that to my next post, which will be up quicker than this one. I promise.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the projects I’m working on or have finished? I’m always looking for outside feedback.
