The December Drive - Games

When I first picked up a guitar in 5th grade, I hated it.  I was forced to take lessons with an instructor who only wanted to teach me old songs that I didn’t know and beginner songs that meant nothing to me. I stopped going after 2 months.  High school rolled around and junior year brought another opportunity for me to try my hand at music.  Armed with that same acoustic guitar from 5th grade, I started playing things I wanted to play for the fun of it.

7 years later, I played what I consider to be the funnest, hugest, most involved and emotional show I’ve ever played in my entire life. The December Drive “called it a-day” on December 20th 2008. We had a show at Cine El Rey in McAllen, TX where we played for 2 hours incorporating some original members,  playing music from the entire life-span of the band.

The crowd was electric, the energy was high, and I’ll definitely remember that night for the rest of my life.  Fortunately, we’ll be releasing a DVD with the entire show in the very near future in case you missed it.

I was honored to work on the album artwork for our last album entitled “GAMES”.  You can click HERE to check out our myspace with some of the songs off the album as well purchase the album directly from our main page.
I was privileged to be a part of this band, to be able to see the country and play our music, to write music with a band that I looked up to when I was first starting out, and to be a part of something so positive and honest.  Truly an honor.

With that, welcome back.  Happy New Year to you.  I hope your year has started out well.  Mine is moving along smoothly.  As always I have a healthy amount of work on my agenda that I’m excited to begin, continue, and finalize.

To give you a taste:

My Uncle Joey graciously asked me to help him with starting up his own website as an offshoot of Full Measure Productions, a sound engineering company.  He’s looking to start mastering out of his home and wanted a website to promote it.  I’m liking the direction of it all. I’ll have this up as soon as I’m done.
